Locally established by two Capetonian cycling enthusiasts, Cabal was born from a passion for riding and curiosity, sophisticated engineering coupled with a desire to create professional bikes that are financially inclusive.
Recently Robert Crockart, a highly competitive sportsman that played professional rugby, and thereafter embarked on a 30-year career in the corporate world, acquired Cabal. Over the last 20 years, his career took him and his family to several countries around the world. During his stay in Switzerland, Robert discovered his love for cycling. He took his passion with him to seven other countries and finally returned to settle in Paarl. Robert had the chance to share his passion with cyclists from different cultures and backgrounds, and he realised that most marketed road bikes, were not personalised enough to optimise individuals’ performance and taste.
